Session Notes for crf106 Prepared by K. Le Bail, NVI, Inc./GSFC and Alet de Witt, HartRAO ================================================================ PURPOSE AND GENERAL NOTES ================================================================ The purpose of this CRF session is to perform astrometric observations in order to strenghten the ICRF in the southern sky. The scheduling technique basically continues the technique used by Alan Fey in previous CRF sessions; however, this session uses five additional sources in the south provided by Alet de Witt and we use a 1Gbps narrow-band mode currently used to schedule AOV sessions. The scheduling strategy follows the template of previous CRF sessions: the scan length is 7 minutes for each source with a default flux value of 0.50 Jy in both X- and S-band. The source list (43 sources) is the source list of CRF103. It was modified by replacing five of the sources by five other sources that had less than ten observations (as found in the most recent S/X catalog) as well as K-band and Ka-band sources not in the S/X catalog but that are potential targets. Kokee will observe INT I18094 during the time from 1815 UT to 1945 UT.
